Cleaned the litter pan. … Rosie does not think outside the box. She assists on laptop, as shown. In time, like a barrel of monkeys, in several millennia (not Melania) she could conceivably reproduce all of Shakespeare word for word. Not holding my breath.

Going to Costco in Spanish Harlem to pick up a repaired hearing aid. 116th St.is a vigorous, busy main thoroughfare. Take the 6 train to 116th. Walk east.  Try some of the local delicacies, especially juicy fried plantains. Yum. If your hat floats, you walked too far.

Last week, I navigated some 15 flights of 12’ subway steps. That’s 180 feet up. I am winded. But not dead. Yet. I am 91 and counting. If I live to 2032 and the asteroid  takes me out, so be it. It has been reported that our  planet will avoid being struck. Whew!

Trump is giving me new life. Yes! I am so pissed, so angry, I exude heart-racing, red-faced energy. JD Vance, as we know, is Trump with a brain. If the Don buys the farm and we get JD, no spaces, life as we know it is over. The potential good news - if any - is that if and when the Dems ever get themselves sorted out JD can be, must be, defeated. He says not having kids is a sin. I ducked that one.

Am cogitating upon a potential match-up between Mayor Adams, the best dressed mayor since Jimmy Walker, but incompetent, way in over his head (his legal problems I’ll leave to the courts). And in this corner the nasty, disgraced bully Andrew Cuomo. He will likely declare for mayor in just a few days. Neither belongs in public office. NYC government is leaderless. Everyone at the top is gone. Adams is beyond vulnerable. One bright exception is Adams’s recent, best appointment of his mayoralty, Jessica Tisch as Police Commissioner. He got that one right.

She is from a billionaire NY real estate family; she is tough. She has worked in the NYPD before. Adams dares not try to push her around as he did the other lady cop he appointed and then let hang. If both Adams and Cuomo show up in a primary, as expected, I’m tempted to write in Rosie. But I may go with Cuomo. He is a decent manager who knows the workings of government very well.

What else?

Saw “No Other Land,” a doc about the Israeli Army’s displacement of thousands of West Bank Palestinians to erect a tank training area. Why isn’t Bibi in jail yet? The film “Anora” starring Mikey Madison lost out in the BAFTAs, whatever that is. In my view it was the best movie of 2024! Dined at a “French vegan” West Village “cafe”. Everything tasted like cardboard. Had an excellent Indian lunch at halal/kosher Ananda with my friend, Serge. It’s a zoo on Saturday night after Shabbos is over.

Everything works. Nothing hurts. Some gunk in my heart muscle is treatable.
